Training, counseling for work place success

When clients come to UP, our staff of vocational counselors conducts an assessment and develops a plan of action. The plan typically includes training in general job skills, as well as vocational classes that help an individual obtain and maintain a job.

Clients have the opportunity to experience our production workshops, using their current abilities and acquiring new skills in a structured situation. Depending on their interests, capabilities, and individual action plan, clients may assist in our woodworking shop, our bulk mailing and assembly operations, or in the maintenance and landscaping of our facility.

When clients are ready to look for competitive employment, the Unlimited Potential counselors stay closely involved during the job search. When a position is secured, we continue the counseling relationship, helping our clients retain the job and assisting the employer should an issue arise.
